Daisy The VW Beetle

Meet Daisy, our delivery car!

If you've lived in Tunbridge Wells at any point over the last 20 years- there's a strong chance you've seen our gorgeous little delivery car out and about! Last month, while on the way to a wedding set up in Sharon's beloved car Daisy, we stopped at traffic and I saw a group of primary school kids all stop and excitedly wave at us. I turned to Sharon and asked her if that happened often (having personally never had people wave at me while out in my grey fiesta), to which she said that it happens almost every day. This is what made me realise that Daisy truly is the face of our little business. But did you know, that much like many Hollywood stars- over the last 20 years, 'Daisy' has had several faces? 

Daisy One

The origional Daisy (or Daisy one), was a dream realised for Sharon- who had wanted a VW Beetle her whole life. A word for any aspiring business owners out there- if you set up your own business... you can have whatever delivery car you blooming well want! 

Some say that owners are like their pets but lets be honest this bright bold beetle was Sharon in car form. And what better branding, in a sea of white vans and beige coporate branding... to wizz around town in a lime green floral car with your business name spashed down the side??

Daisy One- 2.0

A few years went by and the business brand evolved. Instal of 'Flowers at Colonnade' we became 'Colonnade Florist', and so Daisy needed a little re wrap and a branding upgrade to fit. 

Daisy Two

As all cars do, especially ones used day in, day out for deliveries- the sad day came when Daisy One had to go to be retired. But as I'm sure is obvious by now- Sharon was not going to be without her VW Beetle. Introducing Daisy Two!! 

Although similar, she was sleek and new (and bright white underneath?!) With just the same amount of junk in the trunk to fit in all our daily deliveries. Sharon also didnt think lime green was bold enough, so aisy two became the purple beetle mof of you will know today! Below is Sharon and our wonderful delivery driver Maggie- if you see the car out and about it will likely be one of these two you will see. 

Daisy Two 2.0

Don't worry- this version of Daisy is still going strong, but after nearly 8 years it was time for a but of a sticker facelift once more. A couple of weeks ago we left our girl in the capable hands of the lovely guys at Sticky Monkey, Tunbridge Wells. They stripped her back, smoothed out her wrinkles and gave her a fresh wrap... and shes looking like a young girl again! We are so grateful for the care they took with her and they did an absolutely amazing job. 

And thats the story of the Daisy's!
