2024- The Summer of Colour!

As we come in to Autumn, its a good chance to look back at another wild summer of weddings. Each season and year, we get to experience new trends (and sometimes re-visit old ones), and have fun learning new skills and tips along the way. Sometimes I dont always notice trends are happening unti i look back and refllect on my last few months. As I sit here, doing that very thing, one thing really jumps out at me... this season has been COLOURFUL!!

By that, i dont mean that every single wedding has been bold and rainbow shades (although we have had some of these), but more that we have had such a variety of colour palettes this year, which has completely kept the season interesting and fun!

Let's take a quick stroll down memory lane at a few of the fabulous colours we got to work with this summer:

Whats up next?

September is a funny old month, where the weather starts to cool and we have a bit of a crossover between summer and autumn. If you're getting married in september and arent sure what you want yet, rather unhelpfully my advice is: anything goes! Over the next few weeks we have a mixture of weddings, some that are clinging on to summer brights and some that are veerying more towards the rich autumn shades. Both work fabulously for September.

Towards the end of this month we will enter probably the shortest season for weddings... and also my favourite AUTUMN! When the summer shades have well and truly passed, in those precious few weeks before Christmas comes to town, i am in floral heaven. This year is no different, and I am so excited for the sea of rust, burgundy, burnt orange, cinnamon and green that will be flooding our studio! Heres a little glimpse back at last years Autumn to get us excited:
