Wedding Flowers & Hayfever!

Our lovely bride Laura came to us early on in her planning knowig that although she loved flowers and wanted fresh flowers for her wedding, that she had some severe allergies and wasn't sure what would be possible.

Fortunately, Laura's style leant more towards modern, bold shapes with minimal greenery. This was a perfect place to start as most people with severe hayfever find that grasses and heavy foliages can be a massive trigger for them.

In the months leading up to the wedding, we worked together with me suggesting some flowers which I thought might be safe, and Laura testing them out and eliminating flowers which didn't agree with her. In the end we found 3 beautiful blooms for her bouquet: White roses, phalenopsis orchids and anthuriums. All of these flowers worked perfectly with her style and hayfever.

In the venue flowers we could be a little more risky as she wouldnt be holding onto them, but we still made sure to stick to flowers we were pretty sure would be hypoallergenic such as hydrangeas and lisinathus- again keeping away from heavy greenery.
