Emily & Alex - High Rocks

Stylishly rustic

The brief

Month: September
Venue: High Rocks, Tunbridge Wells
Design brief: Autumn wildflowers.

Colour Scheme: Emily & Alex loved the rustic, wildflower look for their wedding. With an end of September date, we wanted to bring in those classic earthy tones without losing the light airy style they love. Therefore we settled on keeping white as our base, with hints of pale blue, rust, peach and mustard- with little tiny pops of burgundy to add depth.

Main flowers used:

Dahlias
Lisianthus,
Comsos,
Ammi,
Delphinium,
Tanecetum Daisies,
Oxypetalum,

Stylishly rustic

High Rocks as a venue is a beautiful mixture of polished and rustic. With high ceilings, wooden beams and plenty of fairy lights. The venue suited their rustic wildflower style down to a tee, and we wanted to accentuate that with the arrangements we chose by making simple swaps with the props we used. Instead of traditional pedestal stands to frame the ceremony, we opted for our large milk churns, and we made a feature of the end of the aisle with stacked apple crate flowers.

For their top table, the couple had a personalized wooden planted made with their names and wedding date on, which we willed with gorgeous country garden flowers. Everything tied in beautifully and made the rustic vibe look very deliberate and polished.
