Wedding Trends for 2018

If you and your fiance are planning to tie the knot this year, or you are just looking for a bit of wedding inspiration- then keep reading for some of this years hottest floral trends for 2018 weddings!

Ultraviolet

After being named this years Pantone 'Colour of the Year', we have seen bridal inspiration popping up all over Pinterest and Instagram featuring hues of violet and purple. Its a stunning colour for flowers and we are sure to see many couples requesting this for 2018.

Plants

Rustic and Barn-style weddings have been very on-trend for the past year, and this theme is likely to continue on into 2018. We have seen lots of couples ask for plants to use as outdoor decorations. Not only can this be cost effective, as a plant may be better value than an arrangement of cut flowers, but they can also be re-purposed inside for the reception, or given as gifts and taken home.

Keep it Low

*

In previous years, it has been popular to have a high, dramatic centerpiece such as a martini vase. However, this year pinterest has been flooded with low, more simplistic table designs. These include jam jars, wreaths and table garlands. As an added bonus, your guests won't need to strain to see the person on the other side of the table!

Loose Bouquets

Brides are opting for more natural, wild looking bouquets and bridesmaid bouquets, as opposed to tight compact designs that have been popular in the past. Even loose shower bouquets or styles with trailing greenery are making a comeback, something that has been out of fashion for several years.

Hanging Designs

*

In stark contrast to the low designs used for table arrangements, many couples are choosing to have a high, suspended floral design as the 'showstopper' piece at the wedding. This can come in the form of floral chandeliers, picture frames, archways- you name it, we'll hang it!

Succulents

The bridal industry has gone positively succulent mad! Succulent bouquets, buttonholes, table arrangements- you name it! We aren't complaining though, because these little beauties really do add that extra special bit of interest to a design. They are available all year round and we don't expect these to go out of fashion anytime soon.
